The brief from the client was to create a hotel lounge environment for the lobby and reception area. The lobby and reception have a soft color tone with comfortable lounge chairs on a fur rug by a wood burning fireplace. It is a peaceful get-away spot from the busy business life. There is also a variety of lighting with suspended down lights to ceiling voids to add to the domestic feel. The finishes were selected to compliment the hotel lounge theme with different hues of wood and touches of pastel colours that also agree well with the different tenant companies. The outcome is timeless and not trendy. Furniture choices include such classics as the Lounge Chair by Ray and Charles Eames. GI always aims for energy efficient and sustainable design solutions. This building strives for first BREEAM Excellent certificate.
